Committee Updates

                Action- planning a march on the farm Bureau details TBA

                Outreach- Meeting tomorrow night

                Media-No one present to represent questions regarding committee links, and calendar updates on Occupy Iowa City official website were brought up.

News Reel

-          Three people were hit by a car in DC protest with no arrests made.

-          Tennessee federal judge stop arresting  protesters.

Occupy Des Moines protesters were present and made some announcements:

-New York is forming a committee to support Iowa

-Occupy Des Moines is planning on hosting people from around the nation for their Occupy the Caucuses event December 27th-January 3rd, with the 26thof December being a transportation day.  They are focusing on hospitality working to provide: shelter, food, and transportation for out of state occupiers.

-Occupy Des Moines  wants to have an open dialog with us and have volunteered to come to Occupy Iowa City any time we feel we need the extra support.

Agenda

General Assembles (?)

-Discussion on possible places to hold GA’s indoors if needed.  Public Space One and the Unitarian Church were suggested. 

-Discussion on limiting the number of GA’s to two or three days a week.

Proposal:   Limiting the GA to two days a week with one on site at College Green Park and one indoors.  The proposal was tabled.

Announcements:

Monday is our one month anniversary.
